Hello everyone! I wanted to tell you about a cool new website I’ve discovered. It’s called Authorgraph. As you know, paperback books are easily autographed by their authors, right? Well, that is, provided you can get to a book signing. Until now, people who read books on their digital devices such as Kindle, Nooks, IPhones/IPads, and the like, have been unable to get their favorite authors to sign their books. Not anymore! There is a website called Authorgraph! All you have to do is go to www.authorgraph.com type in the book title (That Kiss or That Promise) or author’s name (Kate Squires), and request a signature. You can even ask them to inscribe it directly to you! Although my website doesn’t have it yet, soon you will be able to request my signature simply by clicking on a button on my website. I love technology, sometimes. 🙂 I promise to get to all requests in a timely manner, so what are you waiting for? Hit me up!
Hello people that live in my laptop! I just want you to know that I have decided to reduce the Kindle price of That Kiss and That Promise to $.99. They are a bargain at $2.99 but I just feel like spreading the love (quite literally) to all of you who want to try them. I have posted the first chapters of both books as a sample and the reviews are also listed under their own tab. All the info is there. You just need to give them a try!
So from now, until who-knows-when, both books will remain just $.99 each. This doesn’t mean they will stay at that price forever, but for now they will. I hope you enjoy Chloe and Matt’s story as much as I’ve enjoyed telling it. And please, if you like them, write a review on Goodreads or Amazon, or tell someone you know. It would mean the world to me!
That Kiss and That Promise are both $1.99 for Kindle! It’s a sweet love story about Chloe and Matt, who grow up together as best friends. Then a spontaneous, and passionate kiss, changes their relationship. But can it overcome the test of time? Or will more than their fair share of problem tear them apart? Find out for only $1.99!
In my naïve, newbie mind, I imagined a world where I would write a terrific contemporary romance novel, find an agent, who in turn would sell my books to a big publishing house. My name would instantly be on the lips of everyone who loves reading my genre, and I would have “made it” as a best selling author. Then reality hit me in the form of editing, editing, and more editing. Reality check from an actual editor (although it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be), reediting after finding more mistakes, thanks to formatting issues, and marketing walls so high, Superman couldn’t scale them. The road to getting your stories out there is truly a sobering experience, and not one for the faint of heart. Some days, I just wish I could find a genie in a bottle, or a magic fairy who could grant my wishes. Alas, I have yet to find any mythical creatures. So I want to know, is there a formula for success in this business? One that doesn’t entail sitting patiently and waiting for readers to tell their friends about a fantastic book they’ve just discovered? Are the success stories of the best selling authors kept in a secret vault somewhere? Locked away, only to be disclosed to certain authors that the big houses deem worthy of the secrets? Ugh, I don’t know. What I do know is that being an author is exhausting. It’s a labor of love though. A dream that I wish to never wake from. So next time you read a book you really enjoy, please, for the sake of all of us out there, tell someone about it, write a review, buy another of their books. Do anything! We can’t do it without our fans. And for those of you who have done any of these things for me, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! <3
Just a reminder that you could win a free paperback copy of That Kiss! Just go to Goodreads.com to enter. There are five available but hurry, the giveaway ends this Wednesday, July 30th, at midnight! It costs nothing to enter, so what do you have to lose? Don’t miss out on the sweetest love story of the summer!
Back cover text:
From the author of That Promise, which is the sequel, comes an exciting tale full of the romance, drama, and unexpected obstacles that love sometimes throws our way.
It’s been five years, but Chloe Shepherd has never forgotten that fateful kiss she shared with her childhood best friend, Matt Masen, after a high school graduation party…even though neither has mentioned it since.
Recently reunited in New York City, where Chloe is a Broadway dancer, the chemistry between them is undeniably still there—despite a lingering hesitation from the naïve Chloe!
But soon obstacles threaten the happy couple in the form of Matt’s vengeful ex-girlfriend and an eager outsider who wants nothing more than to make Chloe forget about Matt.
Can Matt and Chloe overcome the past? Or is their brand new love doomed from the start?
