This is generally what I look like when I have been writing for hours on end. I usually start with some sort of plot and at some point it veers off course and takes on a life of it’s own. No matter what I am writing, I can’t help but get inside the minds of my characters. Everything they go through, I go through. Everything they feel, I feel. Everything that happens to them, happens to me and is reflected in my behavior in the real world. In other words, if I just got done writing a fight scene, my husband knows to stay far away from me as I might just bite. >:)
I believe that is the way is should be. If the author of a book can’t empathize with her characters then how is the reader going to?
